Subject: A Journey of Hope: From Abandonment to a Bright Future Most people know we recently rescued a pup. While downtown Albany, we noticed him frantically looking around. A closer look revealed he was a young fellow, probably less than a year old. There he was—chained to a fence, his paws frozen from salt and ice. Even more heartbreaking was that he was covered in urine and shivering from the cold. Though a little afraid at first, he quickly realized I was there to help. In that moment, as a dad to two other pups, I didn’t need to make a further assessment. It was clear, without a doubt, this young guy had been abandoned. Sanders Family Seeking Private Adoption We were contacted by our friend’s church who recommended us for the private adoption of a newborn. The church chose our home as the best match for this arrangement and we were very happy. In addition, a number of individuals, including neighbors, friends, friends of friends, strangers (who have become friends), co-workers, and others, contributed gifts to ensure this would be a smooth transition. It has been said that...
Hello, we've got some incredible updates to share with you! And to start out, yes the photo for this post is a sonogram for soon to be born and adopted baby boy we have named Zion. But first off, the amazing woman who has chosen us to adopt. We've been in touch with her for many weeks now, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute pleasure building a new relationship. From sharing precious pregnancy moments like sonogram photos and even getting to see how the baby moves in her belly, we're just overflowing with gratitude for her openness! In our previous adoption post, I wrote based on the theme "Imagine." which was centered around the approach of appealing to a mother seeking a home for a baby based on our Christian values, the facilities for a baby to grow, learn, and receive care, and more. From our perspective, it seemed these things would make us choosable and would be what mattered most to a mom. But that was before having this experience with a very ...
